Ascent Trip Report

The hike up Big Crow is--by itself--not really a '6' on the "Ascent Quality" scale. The trail is moderate and quite short (.7 miles to summit), the forest is varied and there were no significant muddy patches, despite some recent rain. I give it a '6' based on pairing it with Little Crow; descending the col between peaks and reascending Big Crow on one's return adds several hundred feet of gain to the climb.

Nonetheless, this has quickly become one of my favorite peaks; views of the nearby Hurricane Mountain to the southeast were stellar...
