Ascent Trip ReportDuane and I decided to give a snow climb with snow camp a try in preparation for the Winds '97 outing. We headed up the main trail, but ended up cutting to the east at some point to a ridge around 8,400 ft. We made camp here and the weather got worse throughout the evening. The next morning we awoke to more bad weather with clouds and intermittent snow. We didn't summit as a result, just packing it out instead. |
