I found the conditions a bit better than described in the previous report.
From the trailhead to the Adobe Junction, the trail was super easy to follow with almost no brush.
From the Adobe Junction to the base of the switchbacks, the trail was a bit worse, but still very reasonable. The tread was always evident and there was minimal bushwacking. You will definitely be pushing aside brush, but it's all pretty simple and with care, the trail is easy to spot. There doesn't appear to have been much trail work since the forest service last patrolled the trail in May, but the trail seems to have gotten a significant amount of use such that use trails have devloped around all major deadfall and the path is generally clear. The only place I lost the trail was 36.13300, -121.43053. The trail seems to not really exist much anymore here and has been covered by vetch and I was momentarily confused, but there is a post at the uphill end of this section with a ribbon tied to it. It was easy enough to walk up the creekbed to the post and from there the trail was once again obvious.
Once out of this section, the trail was very straightforward to follow to the top. Almost all the brush has been torched in this section. Where the trail cuts back into unburned, overgrown territory, I just cut straight up the ridge to meet the trail above. Where the trail winds around the backside of the peak, there is some brush, but it is easy to push through and the trail is fairly obvious to follow.
Overall, I had a great experience on this peak and I was pleasantly surprised by the conditions of the trail. The round trip took 4hrs and 58 minutes total time. Highly Recommended!
