Ascent Trip ReportI first visited this peak in 2007 during my AT Northbound Thru-Hike,
I decided to revisit it today on my return from North Preston Hill (see its TR for the trips complete details).
The AT reaches a height-of-land at a bump, on the west shoulder on Mount Algo, some people confuse this bump as "the" summit, this is not the case. From the AT (height-of-land) I bushwacked east 200+ yards to the domed/flat wooded summit of Mount Algo in open deciduous forest (easy). I stomped the area, very difficult to pick "the" highspot.
I estimate the distance from North Preston Hill to this summit at 1.8 miles.
