Ascent Trip ReportA moderate Mattabesset Trail hike to a spectacular ridge.
The hike to Higby Mountain takes you over the South Peak, which is a spectacular rocky ridge peak. It merits to belong in the PB library so on my return trip from Higby I took the time to identify its high spot and added it to PB as a provisional peak for Greg's approval. The views are similar to that of Higby so if one is after views only you need-go no further. For the driving/trail information see my Higby TR.
From the Mattabesset Trail Head on hwy 66 TH its a short 1.25 mile RT.
