Ascent Trip Reportparked at the trailhead. From the town of Sinibal, drive to (15.131855, -92.054193), then take a right and follow that road to (15.142199, -92.084027). Apparently you are supposed to use the parking lot on the right.
We backpacked up since we got there mid-afternoon and wanted to see it cloud-free in the morning, and the weather seemed better in the morning than in the evening. Hiked and camped at (15.133666, -92.101645), although a better place to camp would be right at the borderline or at the summit IMO. There were some cows up by the saddle and along the route. GPS file shows the route from camp to the summit and back to the trailhead through camp. |
