Ascent Trip Report

Parked next to Rogersburg Road just south of where it turns northwest between cliff and Grande Ronde. Bushwhacked due east to gain ridge that curved south, then at col turned southeast straight up to summit. Great views of Grande Ronde & Hells Canyons and Limekiln Fault. From summit, followed jeep road south and southeast past Anaconda Creek, then followed ridge east to overlook of Snake River Wild Goose Rapids and Hells Canyon and more great views. Snow-capped northeastern edge of Seven Devils in distance. Except for stretches of jeep road, it was bushwhacking through knee-high spring growth. Animal trails, however faint, were a big help whereever I could find them. Thanks to Carson & Babcock's "Hiking Guide to Washington Geology" for this one. A lot of interesting geology if you know what to look for.
