Ascent Trip ReportThis one has been on my to do list for sometime! Finally got it done.
Drive to TH was east, 40 minutes. Went 25-40 mph the whole way. No clearance needed. It’s bumpy though.
Followed Rafee’s track which was perfect. Easy to follow trail to cabin. After cabin, we went right of there hill behind it and followed the wash right up the gully to the main ridge. There were sporadic blazes in the trees marking the path, but all you need to do is stay in the gully until it tops out.
The ridge had light crunchy snow most of the way to the summit. No issue at all. Views were pretty awesome. For an ultra, it has a very unassuming profile when viewed in the area.
Highly recommend this hike!
