Ascent Trip ReportEntered 10/20/2021. UMOC hike. Parked at the end of Chmura Road. There is a large cul-de-sac with plenty of parking. It was a large group and a complicated trail system. I had the map on my phone giving frequent instructions to the people at the front on which way to go. The trails consolidated when we got to the col of Hitchcock and Seven Sisters. One trail took us up the steepest bit to the summit. There is a <180 degree outlook near the top of Hitchcock. It is very apparent from the trail. About 100 feet away is the summit, which has a foundation of what looks like a fire tower. We took pictures at both spots, then retraced our steps down to the parking lot. |
