Ascent Trip Report

From SW, E of Port de Lers, verge parking at bend and uphill, good path signed for Etang d'Arbu and Pic des Trois Seigneurs. Obvious popular path to the Etang (small lake), good path beyond paint marked, climbing broad spur to rocky ridge; several false summits loom from mist before highpoint reached, sloping boulder with cruciform trig witness mark, trig itself an inconspicuous bolt immediately to E. 3 metal crosses. Easy scrambling at various points on ascent, nothing significant. Carefully following yellow paint marks back down, reaching the well marked boulder denoting the path fork, I keep R and follow the misty SW ridge down, excellent path until the final descent where I don't find the more direct R fork, instead taking the longer route, initially SE then bending SW. This becomes vague and I lose and refind it a few times in the easy grassy terrain before reaching the Port de Lers pass (alternative parking), turning left for an easy amble down the road to the car. 2h up, 3h40 round trip.
