Ascent Trip ReportI took the tiny local train to the nearest station at St-George-des-Commiers, then walked from there, first up to Les Chauvers, then up through the forest on various tracks and paths. The top of the massif is a huge field, with hundreds of cows grazing. Wooden hut and a stone marker on the summit. On the way down I climbed the minor sub-summit of les Trois Têtes. I assumed the name referred to the three summits of the whole massif, but les Trois Têtes itself has three tops, clearly visible from the valley below.
