Ascent Trip ReportNo mistake this time. Followed a near carbon copy of my previous attempt up to le Fournel, then made sure to take the left hand path. The route climbs up through the forest, crosses a large track then up through more forest (paint splashes) to a clearing with a small farmhouse. An easy path then leads up to the summit, which is marked by a signpoint and a granite marker. The true highest point (as others have pointed out) appears to be a few metres away within the trees, but I didn't bother with this. Not a great mountain, but can be climbed in half a day, even starting from Grenoble. |
