Ascent Trip ReportWe drove in from the west off Cascades Lakes Highway (FSR 46):
0.0 At VMP 62.3 Turn East onto FSR 62.
2.6 Turn Left onto unmarked FSR 6240.
2.9 Turn Right onto unmarked FSR 6245.
4.3 Continue Straight (pass a road on your right).
4.7 Continue Straight (pass FSR 250 on your right).
5.3 Turn Right onto FSR 400. This road requires high clearance due to occasional rocks.
6.7 Pass a campsite. I think the highpoint is a hump on your left here. A sign and registry lies just beyond the hump.
6.8 Former Lookout Site (turnaround).
We drove out the same route as far as FSR 62, then Turned Left onto FSR 62 and followed it out to US Hwy 97 near US Hwy 97 MP 180, 15.2 miles from the summit.
I have attached a GPS track for the drive in/out and wandering about the summit area.
