Ascent Trip ReportVisited Newport county high point early in the morning. Going on Gustav Sexauser's information I drove up Pocasset Ave and parked at the end of the street. Water tower is all manmade and slight higher so I'll agree Newport County: Pocasset Hill 326’ or 325.717’ is the winner. I came up with 41.653503,-71.190506 but the brier and vegetation was slightly heavy. My father was getting a good laugh watching my hop around rocks and around brier trying to figure out the high ground at such a low elevation location. |
