Ascent Trip Report

An easy/moderate dirt road walk ..... 2km, 40 minutes RT.

From the hwy intersection 116/161 south of Victoriaville (Arthabaska) travel north on 116 for 3.5km to a right turn on rue Jutras Est (just past a large shopping mall), 2km left on rue Laurier Est, .4km right on rue Blanchet. Drive the asphalted rue Blanchet as it climbs/winds 1km to a gate and a small parking on the right. This is the TH, from here-on a rough dirt road leads you to the summit area (which is to the northeast).

Walk the rough dirt road southeast then north as it climbs to the summit area at the fenced-in Communication Towers, stay left and follow the path around the outside of the fence to the rocky summit (about 1km), located north of the Towers. There are 3 Towers on the summit, 2 of which are inside the fence.

My GPS on the rocky outcrop read 46.05392, 71.88799, I didn't find a survey marker. You are offered outstanding views of Victoriaville and of the valley to the northwest.

"WALKING IS THE MOST ANCIENT EXERCISE AND STILL THE BEST MODERN EXERCISE."
