Ascent Trip Report

OK, so I didn't really earn this summit, but I was 8 years old at the time and my parents drove us up this mountain instead of Pike's Peak because Pike's Peak is a tourist zoo. I remember that the people working there were using a snow-blower to finish clearing the trail to the summit from the parking lot. There were also only a few people up there from what I remember. I didn't know the significance of the Colorado 14ers at the time as I do now. When I head back to climb this peak and actually earn it, I will definitely take a route requiring at least a hike to top out. Until then, this is my first real summit even if I didn't earn it like I do the rest of the drive-up peaks out there...
