Ascent Trip ReportA morning getaway while staying in Packwood at the family cabin for the weekend. I think the key to all this MRNP hiking is to get to the trailhead nice early, not even super early, just hit the trail around dawn and you won't see many people at least on the hike in. I had the mountain to myself other than some people camped in the lookout, until about halfway through the hike back to the TH. Passed gobs of people headed up, that was probably sometime after 9am. |
