Ascent Trip Report

Parked in the parking lot at the Visitor Information Center and walked on the access road to the trailhead for the Mountain Trail.

Followed the trail up to the summit. There are some surprisingly steep sections on the accent where it helps to hold onto the trees.

At the summit, we climbed the fire tower and looked at the clouds blowing through, since there was no visibility.

We descended down the South Ridge Trail through 2-3 inches of snow that was left on the north face of the mountain, and then followed the Shaw Trail back toward the lake. When we reached the vicinity of the lake, we followed the Fundy Trail and road back to the Visitor's Center.

This is the first climb for me, and I figure that it is a good starter with decent distance, and it will hopefully help in my preparation for actually high mountains in the area.
