Ascent of Copicut Hill on 2011-03-20
|Date:||Sunday, March 20, 2011|
|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Elevation:||354 ft / 107 m|
Ascent Trip ReportI approached from the south on Yellow Hill Road, which is in rough condition. A section of the road south of the intersection with Indian Town Road is in particularly bad shape. I drove through numerous car-sized potholes.
I parked at the start of the gated dirt road leading up Copicut. I hiked the half mile or so up to the circle drive, where I saw a few communication towers and a fire tower. The road sloped gently upward, with a small, somewhat steeper rise at the end. It didn't feel like I was climbing a hill.
