Ascent Trip Report

Peak & Lake District Sojourn. Day 47.
Knott Rigg 556m Ard Crags 581m, Buttermere (Wainwrights).

After two days off nursing a niggling injury time to get back up there to try and finish off things for this trip. Unfortunately the weather god had other ideas. Plan B route put into being. Even the plan B route was supposedly a stunning ridge route…but not today. The photos speak for themselves.

Parking: Quite a lot of parking at Newlands Hause. Free.
Route: Nice trails and easy to follow. No navigational issues. Should be stunning views on a normal day.
Route Statistics: A wet atmospheric 7.5km with 450m height gain in 2hrs 15min. Knocked off two Wainwrights though.
