Ascent of Sublett Range High Point on 2021-06-30
|Date:||Wednesday, June 30, 2021|
|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
|Peak:||Sublett Range High Point|
| Elevation:||7492 ft / 2283 m|
Ascent Trip ReportAnother peak where the drive is a bit worse than the actual hike. The road in from the east (Side Canyon) was in decent shape, but it had lots of rocks. At the top the road devolved into an overgrown track, but it was surprisingly smooth. I just had to drive over some vegetation and through some branchy sections that scratched up the RAV4. I headed to road 565 to descend down the west side of the range. The road up to 565 was rocky but it was okay. Once I made the saddle, the road turned really nice, and remained so down to Sublett. The peak has a large pile of rocks with a new pepper ridge farms metal cookie container register. The notebook inside is also brand new: only three entries so far.
