Ascent Trip ReportSecond peak of the evening. Great hike over from South Fortuna to Fortuna. Not sure which one is the highest point. There are 2 candidates. The spot elevation on the topo is on the southernmost point while the summit register is on the northern one. I saw the sunset on the summit and made my way down. I had a headlamp, but decided to use my night vision and use the ambient light, so I probably could have made it back to the car quicker. Oh well. Back at the care by 7pm after a 4:30 start and South Fortuna. Good conditioning hike. |
