Ascent Trip Report

I had been warned that this could be a boring hike, but a freak snowstorm the prior night made the hike more challenging and MUCH more scenic.

Following the old road (now closed to traffic) was usually straightforward enough, but once at the pass just above 6400', we did not see a trace of a use trail. That said, making a route from there wasn't difficult, and would have been trivial without the snow.

The final summit block had a bit of class 3, but the rest of the trip was class 1-2 (probably all class 1 without snow).
