Ascent Trip ReportPlenty of downed brush and thick blackberry bushes near the end made this more difficult than expected! I left the Richland Balsam trail where it sharply turned, after the summit sign and followed the ridgeline. DONT leave the trail from the summit sign, there some steep drop offs and it’s easy to get stuck in thick brush. There’s a faint trail that follows the ridge to Lickstone Ridge summit- it’s difficult to find at first, especially with all the fallen trees, but if you follow the ridgeline you’ll eventually find it. Would love to try to follow it one day all the way to Lickstone Knob.
