Ascent Trip Report

Parked along the road and hiked back to the 4 Mile Trailhead. It was over 5 miles up and over 4K elevation to GP from the Trailhead sign. An absolutely beautiful hike! Stop at Union Point and eat a snack and then enjoy the rest of the way to GP. Still a little snow on the trail after the turn back east where you see Half Dome, but very manageable. This trail is steep until the last section where it levels out and is a a pretty mellow mile or so hike up to Glacier Point. Take you time and in the summer bring water and sunscreen as I imagine it can get very hot! Snacks and bathrooms at GP ... oh and crowds! But one of the best hikes in Yosemite and if you're in decent shape you should be able to do it!
