Ascent Trip Report

This was my annual trip to ski Mt Gibbs that somehow never pans out. We decided for a variety of reasons to come up and do False White instead. One of the reasons of course is the high altitude start and snow cover essentially the whole way. We started at Gardisky Lake trailhead parking and went down a bit to the stream but this probably was a good spot to start. The elevation loss was minimal and saved some flat skiing. We went essentially straight toward the peak with snow all the way. Nice ski down with pretty good conditions owing to the high altitude even with a lackluster snow year. I can see the popularity of this as it is a pretty efficient climb/ski ratio and not at all scary in any way.
