Ascent Trip ReportMountaineers trip. Followed Robert Jenner's track from 5/2/21. We biked in to the Green Lake trailhead. No snow until 4,600 feet and the snow that was on the ground was minimal. Ground was moist from recent snowmelt. Some bushwhacking, but not too bad. We made it to the the base of of the summit block at 5,100 feet, unfortunately we were unable to continue because of snow conditions. The snow was wet, slippery, and despite attempts to self belay, we were sliding and could not ascend safely. We were also pushing on our turnaround time. Will try later in the year when the snow is gone and things dry out a bit. 9 1/2 hours from Green River trailhead up and back. Bike ride definitely saved time on the 3 miles from Carbon River entrance to the trailhead.
