Ascent of Juniper Mountain on 2011-02-12
|Date:||Saturday, February 12, 2011|
|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Elevation:||6679 ft / 2035 m|
Ascent Trip ReportNicer access road than what you usually find in this area, views east to the Trout Creeks, wasnt able to see the cascades in the west though. Road to look for is a couple miles north of the Alkali Highway Dept Station, and passes alongside a ranch at the base of Abert Rim. A very steep 4x4 road climbs to the summit, I found it easier to just walk up from the base of the mountain though.
