Ascent Trip Report

Register dates back to 1998 starting with Mars Bonfire 2nd trip to summit. Read the previous trip reports about the buckthorn needing a trimming and planned to bring my loppers but forgot them! Statistics also include visiting Cajon Mountain LO site also. Located BM and reference marker near the LO site.

Some notes on 2N49. Drivable with stock SUV clearance such as Subaru Forrester or Mazda CX5 (I drove an Acura RDX), however 4WD or AWD is highly recommended (mine kicked in several times). The only negative is the brush will give your vehicle 'racing stripes' so either drive a vehicle where you aren't concerned with that, know how to buff out scratches or know great detailing guy.
