Ascent Trip Report

Wonderful walk up wide open flower slopes in the spring. Late-April through mid-May is probably best. The area from Road 54, aka Kartar Road or Coyote Creek Road, is public land going up the SSW slopes of the mountain. No barbed wire fences should be encountered if you start from the right place. There are numerous horse trail that come and go along the way. Basically just follow your nose uphill on this one. Very scenic. Walk north a bit from the summit for a good view of Omak Lake and the high Cascades behind it.
