Ascent Trip ReportTurn east off of Highway 3 onto 46 Rd and drive 5 miles to NF 080. Take a right and continue for 1.3 miles. A road goes west through a recent clearcut at this point. I parked at the highest point on this road where it begins to descend and walked easily up the steep slopes to a higher road and then gained the ridge crest just above. From here it's a short walk out to the summit. The lookout is still standing but just barely. Don't try from Elk Mtn Rd as it's all private and posted every 100' by Triple Crown Ranch.
Another road goes right off of 080 just south of the road I described above but I did not investigate. This could go toward the summit as well.
The lookout is in bad shape.
