Ascent Trip Report

Pretty much the same as the other TR's.
I did this hike on a Sunday and there was maybe a dozen groups on the mountain.
There is a cobblestone rd. that goes from the village of Los Trigos to almost the top. There are a couple of user paths that cut out the switchbacks on the cobblestone rd. They were pretty obvious with the amount of traffic.

When you get almost to the top the cobblestone rd splits. Go left until you hit the fence that says Private. There is a hole on the left side of the fence. Go thru this and go up the metal stairs. I didn't feel right going in front of the big building so tried to go above the building. Do not do this. Just walk in front of the building and at the end take the stairs up to the top. The workers there just waved to everyone. I think they are so used to seeing people (families, dogs, etc.) go to the top that they don't mind.

Roughly 7 miles RT. I didn't have my GPS so I was using Strava on my phone and it died almost at the end. Moderately strenuous due to the grade. A beautiful hike.
