Ascent Trip ReportAs of 4/14 there was little to no snow or ice on the Holt trail, but the exposed rock surfaces were pretty wet in some spots which may freeze overnight of temps drop below 32 so id strongly recommend microspikes as they'll make it MUCH easier even on dry rock where boots can only grip so much. Fantastic summit conditions. Moderate mud below 2500ft and primarily bare rock above 2900ft. Strongly recommend doing this in a loop with firescrew mountain and taking the manning trail back. Holt trail offers a great taste of entry-level rock climbing |
