Ascent Trip ReportAn opportunistic ascent, spurred on by a gloriously sunny morning while at the excellent Winter Words festival at Pitlochry. Parked on the A924 from Pitlochry to Bridge of Cally a few hundred yards east of the col and followed the landrover track before cutting upwards over heather to the fenceline and along a miniature roller coaster ridge to the summit cairn. Light glittering on the summmit snowfields of Beinn A'Ghlo and Carn an Righ to the west and the Southern Highland peaks in the distance. Deer and mountain hare prints in the snow and the little morasses in the gullies frozen firm. I ran much of the descent out of sheer exuberance at the wonder of the morning...
