Ascent Trip Report

Please see below GPX Data and some Pictures of the Hike.

Great hike and I was surprised how nice the Trail was, although a bit Rocky at times. Made a quick detour on my way up to get out to Mile High Mountain as I missed out on it two days ago because of Wind. Definitely adds some more Elevation gain and mileage to a long day. Gentle Ridge walk with some ups and down, mostly down from Villager and up to Rabbit and then again re-climbing Villager. After reaching Rabbit Peak, Signing the Register I made my way out to look for Rabbit Benchmark with I easily found. To my surprise the Register Notebook was on the ground along a Pencil. So I packed up everything in a Walmart Bag and stuffed it into the Cairn. Definitely needs a better Container or Glass Jar for Protection. Returned pretty much the same way but not going out for Mile High again. Several Parties have been on the Mountain today, some of them Camping on Villager and one was staying on Rabbit Peak for the Night. Another big Party of about 10 People started as early as 4:00 AM and I meet them first as they where leaving Rabbit Peak. Later caught up on Villager Peak again. It’s definitely a little busy on weekends. Did not see anybody two days ago on Pyramid, not even another Car in the Parking Lot.

Happy Hiking, Josef
