Ascent Trip ReportComing from Round Mountain, there was a clear enough path from some snowshoers a few days ago which I appreciated. Once to Old Dix trail, things were your typical snow trenched highway. Once to junction the trail up Noonmark was also well packed. For some reason I was thinking it was going to be more than a mile and 1200 gain up to the summit, so seeing that sign at the junction was good news. The trail up wasn't too technical, or typically that steep from what I remember so that was nice. The summit was perfect. Light wind, 40 something temperatures, all the views. It was so nice to be able to sit and enjoy for a little bit with the warm temperatures. This really was one of my favorite mountains I've experienced in the northeast. Taking the Henry Stinson trail down was at times steep and I was a bit cautious, but butt slides and softer snow on the day mitigated risks.
