Ascent Trip Report

Parked at Dripping Springs TH - adventure pass required (and recommended as parking is next to ranger station). NICE hike up Dripping Springs to the Oak Grove Campgroud just south of the Palomar Maghee Truck Trail (or Palomar Divide Trail). From there it was another 1 mile to the top of Agua Tibia. Bushwhack involved for this section (Oak Grove to Agua Tibia Peak), and very difficult trail to follow. Used GPS from one of our party members, and Jill (trail leader) had been to the top and had left ducks/carins along the way. Final mile or so took 30+ minutes for scrambling over/under brush - but peak was beautiful with great views towards the desert and overlooking Falbrook and even the ocean. Trail Angel works from Dripping Springs TH to Oak Grove. Water flowwing in Arroyo Seco creek.
