Ascent Trip ReportWe did Wilson Benchmark as a 2-peak'r along with Pinyon Ridge. The hike up to Wilson Benchmark requires cross-country for the last 0.5 mile to get up to the summit - there is no trail available, but relatively easy to make your way up. Benchmark is visible along with a sign in register can. To get to the Wilson Peak trailhead, we came down Montezuma Valley Rd to Wilson Rd/Skyway Dr (about 3/4 mile past Montezuma Valley Market). Go down the Wilson Rd (dirt road) about a half-mile, and look for a way to cut over to the little parallel dirt road off to your left. Continue on that little dirt road that turns into Old Culp Valley Rd for about a mile. There is a turnout area to park right at the trailhead sign. This route to drive to the trailhead is very rutted at the beginning and definitely not suitable for a sedan. I got there with minimal effort my RWD high-clearance SUV.
