Ascent Trip ReportStarted at 10:00 AM at US 6 junction with the road when it was snowing. In the beginning there was only 2 inches of snow. One of our spikes went missing, and we found it on the way back. At one point it was just dirt. We passed through a fence, and passed by many deer and posts. By the time we reached the canyon the snow reached 6 inches. About a mile and a half into the canyon the snow started to be knee deep, and concerned about getting stuck or making it down after dusk, we turned around at the 5 1/4 mark. We were less than 1 1/2 miles from the summit. Great hike, but WAY too much snow. An attempt at a Utah 2K prominence peak.
