Ascent Trip Report

This is a heavily used trail that runs along the Lyons Ridge and has nice views. Along the west side I saw many deer loitering along the sandstone bands and juniper. The ridge has nice views in both directions and 200 to 300 foot falls except at the connection saddle which ruins the prominence and gives the ridge's peak only 100 foot prominence but it is well worth the extra credit hike if you have the opportunity to hike in the open space.
