Ascent Trip Report

Excellent winter destination on a clear day. I would not recommend an ascent without snow since much of the trip is on a logging road (until about 3500'). We hit snow at about 2600' and put on snowshoes at about 3600'. The snow conditions were taxing and slowed our progress. The effort was well worth the views! Spectacular. Baker looks so close. You can see the North and South Twin Sisters, Shuksan, North Cascades panorama, Glacier Peak, Mountain Loop Highway peaks, and the Olympics to the west.

The round trip distance is ~12 miles. It took us 10 hours car to car (~8:30am-6:30pm).
