Ascent Trip ReportAfter Stewart Point, I made a quick drive over to Salsberry Pass to do the short hike up Sheephead Mountain from Andy Zdon's book. The book was spot on - about 1k vertical and 2.5 miles. I was the second (and likely last) person to sign the summit register for 2010. The only other ascent for 2010 was back in March... The colors of the mountains, rocks, and hills to the north are amazing. This peak is worth it for the view of the colors. Pictures |
