Ascent Trip ReportDrove all the way out to New Hampshire with the goal of hitting all the Presidential Range. Weather was beautiful when we started out and made it to Jackson with no problem. Beautiful views of an amazing range.
We headed down to the Nauman Tentsite and were hit, very late, by the hurricane that was grazing the east coast. The next morning, forecasts on the range were grim and we were forced to turn back, summiting Jackson again in 50+ sustained winds and horrible fog.
We'll be back next year to get them all. |
