Ascent Trip ReportI parked at the Dartmouth ski area and headed up the ski slope to the left of the lift. The slope had adequate footing and was relatively easy going. At the top of the slope, I entered the woods to the right of the last ski patrol shack. The bushwhacking was pretty easy the whole way. A few spruce islands were easily maneuvered around. A few slight views through the trees here and there. Just before the summit I ran into a well used trail that came up from the north. After looking around the summit and signing the register, I decided to try the trail down. I made it about a quarter of a mile before deciding that it was definitely not going my way, and bushwhacked back to the West. I suspect that trail is an extension of the trail shown on the topo map. Easy hike back down to the ski slope, but the slope itself was quite hard on my knees.
