| Elevation:||4080 ft / 1243 m|
Ascent Trip ReportStarted from Beegum Gap and hiked over Rabun Bald, turned onto an unnamed trail at a wooden sign marked "Alex 1.9 Flint Knob .7". Hiked over Flint Knob and then followed the round, metal trail markers with a hiker on them until the bottom of the col between the 2 mountains. There, when crossing the extension of Bayberry Lane, the markers stop and the trail is very difficult to follow. Stayed on public land but could see houses to the right. The ascent, essentially a bushwhack, is steep and levels off before it passes a pavilion with a caved in roof and then descends to a water tank. Going around the water tank there is a rock which is steep and slippery but on the pointed top one can stand and see that it is the highest point, the base of the tower is clearly below you. None of the topos agree on the contours and perhaps some missed this small projecting rock in their aerial mapping. Total mileage roundtrip was 8.31 and 3030 total elevation.
