Ascent Trip ReportThe trail up to the main ridgeline is really good, in the sense that it provides a level footing. It does, though, have a good amount of overhanging sagebrush and willows(?), and even a few thorny currants. There is one boggy spring one must muddy through or take an equally messy, but dry, dirt workaround.
Between Mahogany and Mahogany East, there is a short gray-colored ridge that should be traversed near the crest. Descending, I tried to follow an animal trail around the north side and it disappeared into a steep and loose sidehill; not worth it.
Great views of the interior of the Toiyabe Range, with Arc Dome and Toiyabe Dome only a few miles away.
