Ascent Trip ReportMade a quick jaunt down here from the Babel Tower Trailhead. The trail is a nice grade down. Scrambled up to where the official trail ends and admired what is probably the most spectacular view I've seen from within the Big Ditch itself, and possibly all of North Carolina.
Note that according to my topo map, the true summit of Babel Tower is past where the official trail ends. I scrambled around and followed a seldom-used but obvious manway out to the top. |
