Ascent Trip ReportI relied on William Musser's 2017 trip report to bag this peak.
In Conifer I exited US 285 at South Foxton Road and immediately parked on the left side of the road at the first gated entrance to the pavilion picnic area. I walked up to the pavilion and then to the ball field above it. At the far end of the field a path heads uphill. Took it up to a fork: path goes right and a double track goes left. I took the double track uphill passing the backyards of residences on my left. When the track leveled out I departed to the right and made an easy off trail ascent to the summit. For the descent I followed Musser's route down thru the cliff wall and to where I shortly connected with the path that led back to the pavilion.
I believe there are some decent views from the top of the rocky cliff, but on this afternoon nothing to see but fog. Pleasant short hike, a good leg stretcher after flying in to DIA from the east coast.
