Ascent Trip Report

My friend and I were aimlessly driving to Tremblant from Ottawa to do a few hikes in the area and saw the firetower on the hill which I had never noticed before. Once we got into town, we saw the sign indicating a trailhead and followed it down the road. Once we got to the parking lot, we threw our packs on and headed up the hill. We passed two groups on the way up and found ourselves on a very steep trail!

The signage indicated 1.5km to the firetower and it was certainly steep. As this was unplanned and a bit rushed, we didn't time the hike or track it in any way.

At the summit, there is a shaky decommissioned tower with some cell booster equipment on it and some nice views of the valley and town of Amherst below.

All in all, this was a great little hike and I'm glad we stumbled upon it!
