Ascent Trip Report

Grey skies today, and some soreness coming off my hike the day before. I decided I preferred some lower peaks over 30 mile per hour winds at the hike peaks summits and slow legs. I took the trail northbound from South Meadows, aka South Meadows Trail. It was so pleasant! True summit wasn't obvious. There was a orange flag sticking off a newer tree in the forest past the view points but it was clearly an area that needed rehabilitation and felt like I'd made it to all the highest points that were accessible. The view back at the ledges was cool, with nice views of Mount Jo, and some scary-is clouds engulfing the high peaks. The trip back to the car took no time.
